Although disability data is not collected in the census, it is important for people with disabilities to actively partake in the 2020 Census. When communities are under-counted, they are deprived of equal political representation and funding for supports and services in their community.

Make sure you count.

Take our pledge online to agree to complete the 2020 Census.
Do you have questions about why the census matters? Privacy concerns? Or questions about how the 2020 Census will be accessible for people with disabilities?

Rooted in Rights partnered with DREDF to produce three videos to answer all these questions. Watch in English, ASL or Spanish at DisabilityCounts2020.org.

If you’re interested in working with Disability Rights Washington to educate disabled people in your community about why the census matters, contact us. We are hiring census ambassadors throughout Washington to work with us to make sure we all count!
