Disability Rights Washington’s Board of Directors wants to know what you think we should advocate for. The board will think about your input and the input of others. They will use that information to create advocacy priorities. These priorities control what our staff do and do not advocate for.

Disability Rights Washington’s current priorities are:

Enforce Olmstead
Increase the availability of housing
Increase the availability of community-based health and behavioral health services
Increase compliance with established accessibility requirements
Stop discriminatory use of the legal system
Increase support of and reduce barriers to meeting basic needs
Increase access to good, meaningful education free from segregation and violence
Equity Mobility Access (EMA) to Streets and Transit
Power Building and Other Equity Work
Stop Bullying and Increase Inclusion
Protecting Established Constitutional Rights
Employment and Entrepreneurial supports
Employment discrimination
