Community Inclusion & Services
Leah Salerno first started at Disability Rights Washington as a legal intern in the summer of 2016. She was hired as a member of the Community Inclusion & Services team in December of 2018. Leah graduated with honors from University of Washington School of Law in 2017. During law school Leah interned at the Housing Justice Project in Seattle and The Defender’s Association, and she also volunteered with the Immigrant Families Advocacy Project. After law school Leah worked as a Staff Attorney at Sexual Violence Legal Services, providing holistic legal services to survivors of sexual violence, before coming to work at Disability Rights Washington. Leah earned her B.A. in both Political Science and Anthropology from the University of California, Irvine in 2012, where she graduated magna cum laude and was a member of the Campuswide Honors Program.
