Kathleen joined the Office of Developmental Disabilities Ombuds in 2018 after graduating from the University of Washington. Passionate about human rights and film, she double majored in Law, Societies, and Justice as well as Cinema Studies. Kathleen worked as an office assistant for Disability Rights Washington and the Developmental Disabilities Ombuds before transitioning into her role as Regional Ombuds. She previously worked as a field researcher for the Police Foundation, aiming to reduce police violence, promote de-escalation training in law enforcement, and improve community relations. Other experience includes interning with the Neighborhood Legal Clinics, Books to Prisoners, and the Human Rights Society. She’s thrilled to be a part of a dedicated, passionate advocacy team. Recreationally, she enjoys swimming, bouldering, and metal detecting.
