Kathleen joined Disability Rights Washington and the Office of Developmental Disabilities Ombuds in 2018 after graduating from the University of Washington. Passionate about human rights and film, she double majored in Law, Societies, and Justice as well as Cinema Studies. Kathleen previously worked as a field researcher for The Police Foundation, aiming to reduce police violence, promote de-escalation training in law enforcement, and improve community relations. Other experience includes interning with the Neighborhood Legal Clinics, Books to Prisoners, and The Human Rights Society. She’s excited to join a dedicated, passionate team committed to disability rights and other social justice goals. Recreationally, she enjoys swimming, backpacking, and metal detecting.
