Warwick joined the disability rights movement in high school when she and a few of her friends chartered a Disabled Abled Coalition, styled after the Gay Straight Alliance she attended. Later that year she joined the Washington State chapter of the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, becoming immersed in the autistic rights and self-advocacy movements. In 2015, Warwick ran for a seat on the Bellevue School Board on a platform of inclusion, transparency, equity, and against the use of restraint and isolation. Since then she has been involved in advocating for community-based services, meaningful inclusion for students with disabilities, racial justice, and LGBT rights. After working as a para-educator for the Edmonds School District, Warwick joined Disability Rights Washington in May of 2018. Warwick identifies as a transgender woman and uses she/her/hers pronouns.
