This past August, the Rights Investigation & Accountability Program gained two Investigators, Nichole Gibson and Brian McQuay. With their help, RIAP has been able to pursue investigations to ensure that individuals with disabilities have self-determination in personal and financial decisions

Brian previously served in a Missouri National Guard unit, and was a Military Police Officer at Fort Lewis. Brian received his bachelor’s degree in Law and Policy, and is currently working on completing his master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Washington Tacoma Campus. He has focused his studies on harassment and discrimination policies and their effectiveness in protecting the Transgender community.

Nichole Gibson is currently (2018) earning a Master of Public Administration degree at Eastern Washington University. She graduated in 2017 from EWU with a Bachelor of Psychology degree with minors in Sociology and Communication Studies. Prior to attending EWU Nichole earned an Advanced Communication Studies Certificate while at Spokane Community College.
