How to Change, Remove, or Report a Representative Payee

This publication is for adult SSA beneficiaries and explains how a beneficiary can ask SSA to change or remove a representative payee and how a beneficiary can report a representative payee for misuse of funds.

Mental Health Advance Directive (MHAD)

A Mental Health Advance Directive (MHAD) is a legal written document that describes what you want to happen if your mental health issues become so severe that you need help from others. It can inform others about what treatment you want or don’t want, and it can identify a person to whom you have given the authority to make decisions on your behalf.
