In 2022, #WeekWithoutDriving had more than 400 participants, including 80 elected leaders from all over Washington State. Fifteen transit agencies endorsed the challenge, and Washington State Governor Jay Inslee signed an official proclamation commemorating the Week Without Driving. Additionally, state employees were encouraged to participate through our Transit Demand Management program, and our state, and many local transportation departments, encouraged staff to take part to better understand the barriers nondrivers encounter. The week was also co-hosted by close to 50 advocacy groups, including disability, transportation, environmental and housing organizations.
