The Cross Disability Advocacy Network (CDAN) serves to empower disabled advocates across the state of Washington to collaborate, strategize, and mobilize on Washington State legislation impacting individuals with disabilities. The CDAN works to support individuals with disabilities who advocate for themselves and peers with a ‘Nothing About Us Without Us’ perspective. Members are dedicated to learning about legislative advocacy, engaging with legislation, following bills of interest, and leading their community at the state level. The CDAN seeks to provide a place for advocates to discuss legislation which matters to them.
If you are interested in learning more about this advocacy group, contact David Lord at firstname.lastname@example.org or Darya Farivar at email@example.com.
Many Town Hall meetings are occurring throughout the state this weekend, check out the League of Women Voters of Washington’s chart to find a Town Hall in your legislative district. Attendance for Town Halls is typically light, which provides a great opportunity to speak with your legislators one-on-one. Make sure to talk to your legislators about attending or meeting with you after Advocacy Day on the 2/27!
