Decisions, Decisions

Making decisions is a skill that takes lots of practice. You may need a lot of support at first.

As you have more success with your decisions, you will need less support. You will be able to make more decisions on your own.

As you go through teen years and become a ‘grownup’ you will make more and more of your own decisions.

You have the right to make your own decisions about your life.

You will want to work with adults you trust to figure out which decisions you can make on your own and which decisions need some support.

Sometimes people around you may not see that you can make decisions.  They may automatically make decisions for you, without asking what you want.

Always remember: “Nothing About Me Without Me.”

Remind the people close to you that you want input into decisions made about your life.
