Most people providing input for our 2014 priorities agreed DRW should stick to its current priorities. The two factors being that people agreed it was important to carry on the 2013 priorities and 2014 will be the last year in a four year plan.
As a result, our Joint Planning and Evaluation Committee (JPEC) is only recommending a change in one of the priorities. JPEC is recommending the priority, "American Sign Language for public services" be modified to read like this: American Sign Language (ASL) and CART/caption for public services". This is in recognition that people who are hard of hearing are in need of an accommodation but may not know ASL.
Several ideas received during the public input process will be considered for the next four year plan beginning in 2015. DRW will finalize its 2014 priorities in December. If you would like to provide feedback, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and be sure to put "DRW Priorities" in the subject line.
We are now taking public comments for our 2015 priorities and the next four year plan. You can make comments by completing the priority input form on this website. If you look at our current priorities, it may help you decide what to suggest. Suggestions received by July 31 will have the best chance of being included in the proposed and final priorities. Suggestions received after July 31 will typically be kept for the following year's consideration, unless there is a very compelling reason to act sooner.
More information on the priority setting process is available in the priority overview section of this website.
