The Washington State Legislature established an 'access coordinator' for Washington's Courts. This person will be appointed by the legislature to assess courts, and determine whether training or other assistance is needed to make sure court services are accessible to people with disabilities.

The Court Access Coordinator will also assist courts, upon request, and identify and improve access to appropriate assistive devices. The Court Access Coordinator will consult with persons with disabilities and disability advocacy groups and facilitate communication between the Courts and persons with disabilities. The bill, as signed into law, can be found by visiting www.leg.wa.gov and searching for bill number 2903.
