Restricting Isolation by Guardians

This passed, was signed by the Governor, and became effective law July 23, 2017.

Sometimes guardians try to restrict or control the relationships that a person with a disability has. This bill would make that more difficult.  It also requires the Office of Public Guardianship to work with the Long-Term Care Ombuds to develop and offer training for the legal community and people who work in long-term care.
