Concerning Crimes Against Persons with Disabilities

This bill passed, was signed by the Governor, and became effective law July 23, 2017.
Summary: 

This bill increases penalties for crimes against persons with disabilities. It makes it less difficult to prosecute people who commit crimes against persons with disabilities, and expands protections.  There is also encouragement for counties to develop written protocol about how to handle criminal cases when people with disabilities are involved.
